Today I am one of the stops on the Small Fry Skinny Jeans Pattern Tour by Titchy Threads.
Let me start off by saying that this is the first pair of jeans that I have ever made and I honestly could not be more excited!
Like so excited that I may have screeched and done a little dance over them. Oh and I even gave myself a big pat on the back. I accomplished something big here folks.
You see, jeans were one of those that I never thought I could make. They just seemed so difficult to make. Know what I mean?
Well trust me, they are not! Yes they are time consuming but they are so worth it! And honestly, I know that the next time I make them I can make them in half the time I spent making these.
Unfortunately both of my girls are still recovering from being sick so I was not able to get pictures of them in them. But they are soooo cute on and the fit is perfection! My daughter loves them so much. She told me after she put them on that I “needed to make her lots more pairs.” I plan on, trust me!
As you can see I made a little oops on the belt buckles, just pretend you don’t see it. Don’t you just love all the top stitching? I have to say a huge thanks to Tasha for her tip on using two threads to top stitch with. It made a huge difference! Thanks again Tasha! So I guess I should talk about the pattern a little bit and stop gushing over my jeans. As you can tell I love the pattern and I think everyone needs to buy it, honestly! The pattern was super detailed. Almost each step has a picture to go along with it, which was so helpful. The Small Fry Skinny Jeans Pattern comes many different options. You can make the following from just the one pattern:
– Inset or patch pockets
– Half Fly or Zip Fly
– Full length or shorts
– Two different waistbands
– Girls (reversed) fly instructions for both fly options
I ended up making mine with the patch pockets, half-fly, full length with the top stitched waistband. Another thing I love about the jeans is the adjustable waistband that is enclosed just like the ones you buy in the store. It really gives the jeans a professional look and feel.
For the duration of the tour (until the 15th of March) you can receive 20% off with the code TOUR20. So head on over to Titchy Threads and snag that pattern while it’s on sale. Trust me, you want this one in your pile of patterns. Don’t forget to check out the rest of the tour. I have already seen a few sneak peeks and there are some amazing Small Fry Skinny Jeans being made!
Thanks again Laura for asking me to be part of your tour! You already know it, but I will tell you again…I love this pattern!
