I have had a few people contact me with questions about canning. While I would love to share my thoughts and methods on it, I think I better leave that up to those more educated in the canning field. While canning is not hard, you need to be educated on the basic methods of doing it. There are chances of getting sick and even potentially dying from not following the proper canning methods. With that said, here are some great resources that I use frequently. They can give you the basics on canning and preserving veggies and fruit along with a ton of recipes.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for saying this! My mom is a Master Food Preserver (classes you can take from your county Extension Office) and she learned so much – and then taught me – about safety. I am so surprised at the number of unsafe canning recipes online, especially pickle recipes. Seriously people, if you don't have enough vinegar, your pickles can make you very sick! It stresses me out. So, thank you so much for being safe and encouraging others to be safe!
