First of all how many of you are following handmade holidays over at sew, mama, sew? Did you see my play tent tutorial over there? How exciting! They asked me a few weeks back if they could feature my play tent tutorial as part of their handmade holidays and I had all I could do to keep quiet about it. Sew, mama, sew is THE sewing blog that everyone reads and the fact that they wanted to feature my play tent as part of their handmade holidays was so FLIPPIN exciting! So thank you sew mama sew! You made this stay at home momma one happy girl!
Ok, moving on.
While working on my latest play tent I realized that my tutorial needs a little updating. While I would love to redo it, I think for now, I will add a few new things to the tutorial that will make it a little easier to follow. Within the next few days the changes will have been made.
For now here are some pictures from the latest play tent I just finished. I made it a little different then my usual play tent designs due to the lack of cute twin sheets in my area. I ended up having to use a duvet cover instead. While I had to work harder at making it work, I am so happy with the outcome. I’m pretty sure there will be some happy little girls out there come Christmas day.
The duvet cover came with matching shams, which make great little cushions.

I have always loved this tutorial and am so glad it is being featured at sew Mama sew. I made a lilac fairy castle for my 4yo and it is the single greatest thing we have in our house. Congrats again!
