Last week Shannon from luvinthemommyhood sent me one of her Sweetheart Dress patterns to review. And since you all know me, I had to make two. Everything is cuter in pairs right?Let me first start out by saying that Shannon did an amazing job on the Sweetheart Dress pattern! It is so professional looking and she really explains each step to you. I would say that both dresses took me about 3-4 hours to make. The first dress definitely took me a lot longer to make then the second one. The construction of the bodice and skirt pieces were new to me, but they may not be for you. I’m still learning a lot of the basic sewing techniques when it comes to constructing clothes. All I can say is that I love the new-to-me technique! There are no exposed seams that need to be finished off and there is no hand stitching involved. It gives the dress a very professional and finished look. And what can I say about the cute little heart cut-out…it can’t get any cuter can it?!It is the perfect little dress for Valentine’s Day…or a tea party. I added a little heart cut-out to the front of the dress that matches the button on the back. I just love how it gives a little contrast on the dress.I made both dresses a size 3T which is what both girls are wearing right now. The dresses fit them perfectly! The pdf sewing pattern ranges in sizes from 2T-6T. So it is one of those patterns you can use for years to come. Thanks again Shannon for the chance to try out your Sweetheart Dress pattern. We sure do love it and now the girls want one in every color! Now comes the fun part…who wants to win a Sweetheart Dress pattern? That is right, Shannon is giving away a Sweetheart Dress pattern to one lucky winner! To enter…head on over and check out the Sweetheart Dress pattern for yourself. Then come back here and leave me a comment. Giveaway winner will be chosen Monday, February 4th 2013.

On searching for the pattern again through Google, I came across this giveway! Fingers crossed xx
