Right before Easter I made my little girls the Willow’s Wrap Jacket. I purchased the pattern from Create Kids Couture on etsy. The pattern was very detailed and easy to follow. It is a great pattern for those who want to make a jacket without the hassle of using buttons or zippers.
Both jackets took me about 5-6 hours to make. Once the fabric was cut out they were really easy to construct.I used a decor weight fabric (Amy Butler: Lark Feather Paisley Jade) for the outside of the jackets and an off white minky fabric for the linings. The girls just love how soft and cozy they are. They make the best spring jackets.Did I mention that these jackets are great for twirling? You know how much my little girls love to twirl! And how sweet is that little row of ruffles on the collar?I really do just love these jackets…and these two little girls! How cool is that tree stump by the way?!

Those are so cute!!! My girls would love those! My 7yo had a full out tantrum last week because she doesn’t like her coat- she HATES buttons. Of course, then she wouldn’t take it off for her softball game that night. (Moody!)

Oh my goodness, those are just the cutest jackets. I saw one of the girls in them in a previous post and what pattern it was from…thanks so much for sharing. By the way, I absolutely LOVE my meal planner that I won. It took me a bit to start out, but once I did it, I can’t be stopped. My binder not only has my meal plans and recipes, but it has my garden plans and canning recipes. Thanks again…you were a BIG help in getting me organized and it feels great!

These are so adorable! Probably too advanced for my beginner skills but they look amazing! What do you end up doing with all these beautiful things once the babes outgrow them? I am having my second girl and considering keeping some of the things I have made for the 2 year old, but part of me knows I will probably just make the babe her own things as well. 🙂 Its hard to part with something you put a lot of work into….(even if it is just a peasant dress with ruffles.) lol

It’s not generally simple to keep positive, but bordering myself with fantastic close friends along with a suportive loved ones generally makes it simpler. I remind myself regularly that each day is a reward, and we are fortunate to get up every morning and choose element in it…
