We started harvesting veggies from the garden the other day. It still amazes me how fast those little seeds turn into veggies and fruit!
The kiddos are starting to be good little helpers. They harvested the radishes all by themselves. One would pick, one would cut and one would put the radishes in the bucket.
We have had some hot rainy weeks this year. It will help the veggies grow…along with the weeds! I try to stay ahead of the weeds, but as you can see this year it has been really hard. So how are your gardens growing?

Your veggies look delicious! And what good little helpers you have. I wish my kids were as interested in gardening! They think they are too old to help. My garden isn’t doing so hot this year. It got a late start because of the weather, and it went from cool and wet to hot and dry overnight. We’ve had very little rain, and no amount of water I give it seems to help. It’s just one of those things us gardeners have to deal with. 🙂
Do you use your beet tops? They are great in smoothies!

Beautiful… I wait every year to see what you pull up and out!

The most amazing thing happened in my garden this week! I planted pumpkin seeds on Monday, they were up on Thursday… I guess conditions were perfect! We had no fewer than a million strawberries from our strawberry bed. Trying a few onions for the first time. I grew tomato plants from seed, so it’s fun watching “my babies” get big. The zucchini appears to be growing by inches everyday! Love watching my work paying off!

Beautiful garden! My garden is 1/10 the size of yours! It got a slow start because we have had so much rain. We have had a few hot sunny days now and the tomatoes shot up and are suddenly covered with flowers and baby tomatoes. Maybe soon it will be time for that first, luscious summer tomato!
