It has been one really cold winter here! It’s been a struggle for me to get out in it. I do not like the cold one bit…but I love the snow. Thankfully this past weekend we had some warmer weather and we headed outside to do some snowshoeing.I brought a sled along just in case I had to pull some little ones in it on the way home. Instead we ended up using it to spend a few hours sliding down the hills. We all had a blast!A day out in the sun really does the body good. Now if it would just warm up again.Anyone else having the coldest winter ever?

I love that idea and I had been thinking of purchasing snow shoes for the girls. How do you like that type of snow shoe Christina? Do you recommend them?

We’ve had a very cold winter except when everything thawed… This year my girls have been enjoying a skating rink in the back yard.
Snowshoeing is loads of fun!

Yes, we are having quite a winter here in NH, aren’t we? Actually, I think most of the country is in the same boat. My husband’s family live in the Philadelphia, PA area. They usually don’t get much snow there and the winter is much milder than here, but this year they have more snow than we do and they lost their electricity for three days. Apparently Georgia is about to be hit with an ice storm…it’s one of “those” winters. Reminds me of Little House on the Prairie “The Long Winter.” The good thing is I’ve got sewing to help pass the time!

Coldest and snowiest PA winter ever (or for at least over the last 18+ years that I have lived here)
We are awaiting the Nor’easter…it’s only a matter of hours before it reaches us.
We currently have 6-8 of snow with a layer of ice and the prediction is ~14″.
The kids have off tomorrow which is snow day #8…..they called it at 4PM knowing it won’t be pretty.
Your snow shoeing looks so fun!! I’d love the pink ones 🙂

We just got 14 inches in Northern Virginia. Not usual at all. I was missing having snow fun now that all my kids are grown, but just in time, my 23 year old daughter arrived to make igloos and snowmen with a friend. I love when the big kids still play! Your snow pictures are beautiful!
