I can’t believe I am just barely getting around to sharing my Day Off Back Pack from Gingercake. I made this bag ages ago and simply love it…yet never took the time to blog about it. Blogging seems to be harder and harder for me these days.
This was my first time making a back pack and it was shockingly easy. The only issue I ran into was with the hardware for the straps. I made my straps out of corduroy and they were thicker then normal straps so I needed slightly larger sized hardware. Thankfully I found some on Amazon that worked great. I followed the pattern to a T except for the top flap part. I decided to make my flap a bit larger so that it covered the top of the bag a little more. The flowered fabric is a vintage fabric that I bought from an antique store years ago. It was one of those fabrics that I had been hoarding for the right project. The pattern comes in both adult sized as well as child sized. Gotta love that!Get the pattern here!
